Throughout the winter months, the team at Atlas SEO have been stomping through the Norwich rain, cold, and mud, in an effort to raise much needed funds for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospital (EACH). Here is a look into how it went.
Helping out in East Anglia
EACH is a charity that does incredible work supporting children and families in their hardest times, especially during the holidays. Their incredible services and care reach over East Anglia and beyond.
Last year they supported 574 children and young people, and provided 89,000 hours of care. So, it isn’t surprising that, with this level of commitment, funding doesn’t stretch as far as it needs to. EACH needs to raise £10,000 everyday to keep their hospices running, and they rely on voluntary donations for the majority of their income.
A story that touched our hearts here at Atlas is the story of a patient named Tom. When Tom required vital care and support in his final days, the staff at EACH left their own Christmas celebrations to provide the comfort and dignity that he and his family needed. Whilst EACH hospices are not open for routine care on Christmas day, staff members are still willing to selflessly step in when it matters the most. Heroes like these are the backbones of our communities, and ones who should not go unrecognised.
How Local Businesses are Giving Back
Starting from the 1st to the 28th our resilient team at Atlas have marched 150 miles each. From trekking to work, using breaks to stomp up and down the office stairs, and finally finishing with a 20 mile walk along the Marriott's way on the 28th, the team went above and beyond.
Not only did we beat personal goals and records, we also raised over £1000 of the £417 target - 239% of our original aim. Whilst our legs may have refused to work the next day, and our trainers ruined, it was an experience that we won’t be forgetting anytime soon.
The walk broke into groups: the athletes getting the walk done in record time, and the groups who took on side quests like climbing trees, building sculptures, searching for rope-swings, and finishing with a well deserved pint.

Not only did the Atlas folk contribute to this cause through our staggering athletic abilities, but also our culinary skills. A couple of our very talented members dedicated their evenings to baking cakes, brownies and other goods to be sold from the office for donations. These, of course, were very well received by our walkers after their hike.

At Atlas we believe that businesses have a duty to give back to their community, particularly during the winter months when affected individuals and families will feel it the most. The incredibly important work done at EACH is a brilliant example of a local charity that is making a true difference, and one that Atlas was honoured to support.
Each staff member who participated in the final walk used their company-provided charity day for that final push, which allowed us to supersede goals, finish the week with a bang, and set the right tone going into 2026.
