Search Engine Strategies

This series of conferences was first created by Danny Sullivan of Search Engine Watch back in 1997 and is a perennial favorite of the search engine optimisation crowd. Events are held in cities such as London, Chicago, Toronto, San Jose, Dallas, New York, Tokyo, Paris, Hamburg, and Milan. The first SES UK was held in London in 2000. Next year's event is scheduled for Feb 17-20, 2009.

SES covers every aspect of search engine marketing including paid advertising, analytics, social media optimisation, search engine optimisation, link building, and ecommerce SEO. The event in San Jose California includes a party at the Googleplex, home of Google Inc.

PubCon

The roots of Pubcon began 20 years ago with the participants of the Power Elite BBS (bulletin board system). The first PubCon was held in the UK in London. It included more than 125 WebmasterWorld members who showed up at the Cittie of Yorke Pub in London. Pubcon's have traditionally been informal affairs and continue to be excellent networking opportunities. The biggest event is held in Las Vegas Nevada USA at the Las Vegas Convention Centre. There are exhibits, conference sessions, and informal networking events. For serious SEO and SEM professionals, PubCon is the event to attend.

SMX

SMX or Search Marketing Expo — is the search engine marketing conference hosted by the people from Search Engine Land news. Events are held in China, Stockholm, Buenos Aires, Singapore, London, and Santa Clara California. The next edition of of SMX West will be held February 10-12, 2009 at the Santa Clara Convention Center. Search Marketing Expo - SMX Advanced offers discussions designed for experienced SEMs and allowed exchange ideas and network.

Social Media Conference

Social Media Conference is the largest industry event that covers the business management of an Social Networking and Internet Personals website, and includes a focus on both internet and traditional marketing. The most recent event was held at the Millennium Gloucester Conference Center in London, UK on September 22 - 23, 2008. SMC covers business management for the Social Networking and Online Personals industry. It showcases new technologies, business strategies for Europe social networks, E.U. mobile Social Networking, marketing in the Europe, venture capital, partnerships, legal issues and European payments. The purpose of the events are to improve individual online business efficiency, identify new technologies in the industry, increase web traffic and conversion rates.

NextMEDIA

NextMEDIA is about monetizing digital media looks at the new economy of reputation, attention, and audience engagement and discusses ways to make money from digital media. The event is being held on November 18th to 19th in Toronto, Ontario and covers digital media content.

Blogworld Expo

BlogWorld Expo is tradeshow, conference, and media event dedicated to promoting the dynamic industry of blogging and new media including social media. Topics discussed are blogging, vlogging, podcasting, new media content production, new media industry entry strategies, and the introduction to the blogosphere.

Web 2.0 Expo

Celebrating its third year, The Web 2.0 Expo conference and tradeshow is for web designers and developers, product managers, entrepreneurs, Venture Capitalists, web marketers, and business strategists. Shows are held in New York, San Francisco, Berlin and Tokyo.

PPC Summit

PPC Summits are designed to help educate attendees on search engine advertising. The first conference was held in Los Angeles, California, USA.
